Georgia buyers have MORE leverage right now

Georgia buyers, the market is giving you something we haven’t seen much of in recent years: more negotiating power.

Housing inventory across Georgia has continued to grow, giving buyers more options and a little more breathing room when shopping for a home.

And here in the Atlanta market, seller concessions have become much more common. That means buyers may have opportunities to negotiate things like closing-cost assistance, repairs, price reductions, or even a mortgage-rate buydown.

But this does not mean every seller is desperate or every home is negotiable. The opportunity depends on the property, how long it’s been on the market, and the seller’s motivation.

So if you’ve been sitting on the sidelines waiting for the “perfect” market, this may be the time to start looking at your options.
